La Russie, la Mongolie et puis la Chine. 990 gares et autant d’espaces qui filent, déclinés en pans bruts et sauvages où la nature se glorifie d’être la plus belle, où le vent rapporte le froid polaire de Oural, où l’eau s’extirpe de la Volga en striant la terre de sa transparence. Le Transsibérien trace sa route fièrement au milieu de toutes ces facettes, grand mythe de ferraille où l’on puise l’inspiration inlassablement et où notre pensée s’épaissit d’un aura de mystères et de légendes. C’est le théâtre choisi il y a quelques années par l’artiste William Rezé pour élaborer son projet de musique électronique intitulé simplement « Transsiberian ».
« Il m’a fallu beaucoup de temps et d’énergie entre le moment ou j’ai eu cette idée et le moment ou j’ai pu monter dans le train », nous raconte William. « À l’origine, l’idée m’est venu d’un constat assez simple où je me rendais compte que j’étais plus productif dans un train qu’en étant enfermé chez moi. Le paysage qui défile, l’impression d’être constamment en mouvement, les gens qui passent, c’était un bon cocktail tout en ayant un confort correct pour composer avec peu de choses. »
En captant de part et d’autre les sons et bruits de la vie du train, il prend conscience de l’énorme potentiel musical qui s’offre à lui, sans compter les escales où les rencontres se faisaient plus singulières les unes que les autres. « Les journées à bord du train - j’étais en général réveillé par la femme de ménage du train qui tenait vraiment à passer l’aspirateur sur les 30 cm2 de moquette de ma cabine, et qui me servait pour finir un thé russe bien fort. J’écoutais ensuite ce que j’avais fait dans la nuit jusqu’au déjeuner que nous prenions mon équipe et moi dans le wagon bar (nous n’étions pas sur de la grande gastronomie mais ça faisait le job). Je me baladais un peu dans le train de bout en bout pour me dégourdir un peu les jambes, venait ensuite le diner qui s’éternisait un peu selon les rencontres. Je passais une grande partie de la nuit à composer, au calme avec le train pour moi tout seul à regarder le jour se coucher puis se lever. À l’inverse, les journées hors du train étaient très remplies, beaucoup de rencontres, d'enregistrements et de découvertes de villes ou villages. »
Pour se rendre compte un peu plus de l’entreprise artistique, presque ethno-musicale tant elle exploite les sonorités ethniques des trois pays, Thylacine et son équipe vidéo (en coproduction avec Edendoc et France Television) ont réalisé une mini-série documentaire de 10 épisodes de leur voyage. « Transsiberian » fait parti de ces albums-concept qui nous font voyager en un rien de temps. Il côtoie subtilement la downtempo et la housse pour souligner un peu plus le vrai atout de ce périple musical : les chants indigènes féminins (comme dans « Belobezvodnoe », « Aïkhaï & Mandukhaï (Interlude) » et « Irkutsk ») et masculins sur l’envoûtant « Chaman ». « Memories » annonce le glas final, on entend le sifflement du train au début et le bruit des vagues à la fin, mémoires d’un voyage de 10000 km estampillé au fer de cette magnifique carcasse filante.

The Customer also receives by email and without delay, a receipt of the order sent electronically, regarding as a confirmation of the order (“Order Confirmation”).

The Customer receives electronically, the confirmation that the Goods have been dispatched.

The delivery shall take place at the location indicated by the Customer at the time of the Order.

Additionally, by undertaking these different steps to Order, the Customer accepts to strictly comply with this Agreement, in accordance with section 1316-1 of the French Civil Code.

The Vendor undertakes to deliver the Goods and Services subject of the Order Confirmation. In the event that a Good ordered is unavailable, the Vendor will promptly inform the Customer about this.

However, under section L.122-1 of the French Consumer Code, the Vendor reserves the right to cancel your Order if the Order is abnormal, involves bad faith or for any other reason that is under the sole discretion of the Vendor. The Vendor also reserves the right to reject orders from any customer with whom the Vendor have an ongoing legal dispute regarding a prior order.

You have received your order but the product does not suit you?

You can return your products within 15 days of receiving your package, for any order.

For the festive season, the deadlines are extended to 30 days.

The items must not have been worn, washed or damaged and must be returned in their original packaging, in perfect condition for resale.

How do I return my package from France?

Return shipping from France is free via Mondial Relay.

To return your parcel, it is very simple :

  1. Go to “My account”, in the “My purchases” section,

  2. In the list of your orders, select your order,

  3. If your order is eligible for return, please tick each product you wish to return. If a product has been ordered in several copies, you can indicate the quantity to be returned.

  4. Indicate the reason for the return at the bottom of the order details and click on “Request a return”. You can track your return request in the “Returns” section of the “My purchases” section.

  5. Once your return request has been validated by our team, all you have to do is stick your pre-paid label (provided at the time of delivery) on the package, insert the completed returns form in the parcel and drop it off at a Mondial Relay point.

How can I return my package (International online returns)

International return packages are at the customer’s expense (including cost of shipment by the chosen carrier, customs & duties, taxes, etc.)

To return your parcel, it is very simple :

  1. Go to “My account”, in the “My purchases” section,

  2. In the list of your orders, select your order,

  3. If your order is eligible for return, please tick each product you wish to return. If a product has been ordered in several copies, you can indicate the quantity to be returned.

  4. Indicate the reason for the return at the bottom of the order details and click on “Request a return”. You can track your return request in the “Returns” section of the “My purchases” section.

  5. Once your return request has been validated by our team, simply download the return form and place it in your package.
